VAUGHAN INC. REORGANIZES AND REINVESTS FOR THE FUTURE SANFORD, FL, January 13th, 2008 --Vaughan Inc. recently announced that the Board of Directors has elected Rick Vaughan as President and Chief Executive Officer. He will lead the redevelopment of the nursery operations beginning with new management in business development, sales and marketing. In support of this new change, Jack Vaughan will transition into his new role as Chairman of the Board, taking over for Earl Vaughan who has served as the company’s Chairman since 1989. As Chairman, Jack Vaughan will continue to coordinate family ownership of the company, but will no longer be as active in the day to day operations of the nursery. Founded in 1926, Vaughan specializes in tropical plants and unique foliage dish gardens. The company is dedicated to educating consumers as to the many benefits of interior plantscaping. In addition to the amazing psychological benefits of plants, they are low cost, all natural air filters. Plants also improve air quality by absorbing air pollutants and reducing airborne pathogens, improving our health and boosting our energy levels. Plant-filled rooms contain 50% to 60% fewer airborne molds and bacteria than rooms without plants. Vaughan is committed to utilizing solar energy and being environmentally efficient. Plastics and rainwater are recycled and they are in the process of transitioning the foliage plants and dishgarden’s into biodegradable pots. “We are focused on a very successful management transition” said Rick Vaughan, “Our new creative team is focused on new custom designs for the holidays, special occasions and everyday gift giving” offered Vaughan, “Our staff is very excited and we look forward to the opportunities ahead of us.” For more information, inquiries can be made to Dianne Gieske or Phyllis Gardner at 1-800-476-4710.
